The Current CMA Course Structure


CMA Foundation
The CMA Foundation is the entry-level course for becoming a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), offered by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
- Eligibility: Passed Class 10th (provisional), appear after Class 12th.
- Subjects: Fundamentals of Business Laws and Business Communication (FBLC), Fundamentals of Financial and Cost Accounting (FFCA), Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics (FBMS), Fundamentals of Business Economics and Management (FBEM)
- Exam Schedule: The CMA exam, is held twice a year, once each in June and December.
- Pattern of Exam: Conducted in M.C.Q style through offline mode. The Exam is taken in two sessions in one day from morning 10 to 12 & evening 2 to 4.
- Passing Criteria: 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate.
- Registration Fees: Rs.6,000


CMA Inter
The CMA Intermediate is the second level of the Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) certification program offered by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
The course delves into more advanced topics in cost and management accounting, financial management, and strategic management.
- Eligibility: Following student can take admission in CMA INTER
1) Student who has passed CMA Foundation exam.
2) Student who has completed his graduation from any discipline except fine arts. - Subjects: CMA Inter is divided into two groups consisting subjects like

CMA Final
The CMA Final is the concluding level of the three-stage CMA course. The CMA Final exam assesses proficiency in advanced cost and management accounting, strategic management, and financial management.
- Eligibility: CMA INTER Pass
- Subjects: There are 8 subjects in CMA FINAL such as Corporate & Economic laws, Direct & Indirect taxes, International Taxation, Strategic Cost Management etc.
- Exam Schedule: CMA Inter is conducted Two times in a year in June & December.
- Pattern of Exam: CMA Final exam is a combination of objective & descriptive questions.
- Negative Marking: No
- Passing Criteria: 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate.
